Sheridan College Baking Club

Events

We take a lot of pride in having a schedule that isn’t just a bunch of boring meetings. When we consider planning the semester, we wanted to make sure that every single one of them presented a person with a reason to get there and get their hands dirty. Part of it is, we believe that you don’t have to waste a ton of money to be able to create something that tastes amazing. Due to that, we put a lot of time and effort into finding recipes that can be done with what you're provided. We also make sure to try and keep it balanced enough that no matter how busy a person is with labs and a part-time job, there’s at least one or two of these a month that fit their vibe.

All of our events are designed to be as flexible as possible. We know that not everyone feels comfortable baking in front of a big group right away, so we always offer a "spectator" option where you can just come, hang out, and see how things are made before you try it yourself. For the events where we do bake together, we send out an email to help you prepare a week in advance.

We really want to make sure nobody feels left out because of their dietary wants or their budget. At the end of the day, these events are for taking a break from the academic grind and doing something creative with your hands. Even if your cake falls flat, you’ll leave with good memories and new friends.
